Description
The Tartan Trio are one of the UK's finest professional ceilidh bands available for weddings, functions and corporate events. Delivering fantastically energetic ceilidh sets, you're guaranteed entertainment from the first note to the last. The band performs all over the UK and is in high demand with a busy schedule.
As one of only a handful of professional Scottish Ceilidh bands, the members are young and extremely talented musicians. Having trained at both the Royal Northern College of Music and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, each member maintains a busy freelance career and have performed with a variety of artists and leading UK orchestras ranging from indie-folk band Belle and Sebastian to singing sensation Andrea Bocelli.
A typical evening of dancing with the Tartan Trio includes a good mix of well known Scottish Ceilidh standards with wee modern hints. All dances are expertly guided by our enthusiastic dance caller ensuring everyone feels confident to join in the fun, particularly if it is their first Scottish Ceilidh dance experience! With the Tartan Trio you are guaranteed a perfect evening of entertainment no matter what your event.

• July 7, 2018The Tartan Trio are brilliant musicians so even if you have guests who can't or won't dance listening is an absolute pleasure. They also are good at calling and talk you through each dance so you can do all the moves. We had a fantastic evening of fun and dancing.

• Aug. 4, 2018"The Tartan Trio played at our wedding in August 2018 and were absolutely exceptional. I had so many people say to me on the night and afterwards how brilliant they were. We requested to start with everyone together, rather than a traditional first dance, and they made it work perfectly. The caller was fantastic and so engaged with the audience - even getting off stage to demonstrate. It was 32 degrees during the day but people still wanted to keep dancing - at other ceilidhs I've been to guests have given up and not danced much. We provided a playlist for after and they put it together so everything flowed nicely and honestly we just had the best time! I highly highly recommend them (and have literally been telling newly engaged strangers to look them up!)

FAQs
How long do you play for?
Completely negotiable. We book out for a standard 4 hour slot (can be extended) - NB, this is inclusive of breaks.
Do you have your own PA and lighting?
Yes! Full PA and Ambient Dancefloor lighting.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment?
We have PLI upto £10Million and all of our equipment is PAT Tested. If your venue would like a copy of our certificates, we are happy to provide them.
How much space do you require?
3m x 3m
Set List/Services
We perform all standard ceilidh dances and can also perform others on request. All of the dances at your event will be called by a professional caller, so don't worry if you don't know the steps!
