Irish Band With Vocalist - 2 x 1 Hour

Shenanigan is a Celtic Band based in the South of England When performing we can provide a range of entertainment including: Songs, Instrumentals and even Ceilidh with caller if required. The line-up for would be: Singer/ Guitarist along with a mixture of instrumentalists, including Fiddle/Banjo, Whistles/Flute and Accordion. The band creates a night of entertainment with a strong Irish flavour. As well as songs expect Jigs, Reels, Polkas and Waltzes. If a period of ceilidh dancing with a caller is something that you would consider we can provide that? Some of the songs you may hear are Black Velvet Band, Carrickfergus, Dirty Old Town, Fields of Athenry, Galway Girl, I’ll Tell me Ma, Irish Rover, Whiskey in the Jar and Wild Mountain Thyme. Shenanigan has a good quality PA which could also be used for a period of recorded music. The band arrives an hour before playing to set up and usually plays two hour long sets with a break between, although we can be flexible over timings.

We have an extensive and ever growing repertoire that caters for all tastes and genres from the 50’s to the present day. Jazz Duo - American Songbook/Soul/Blues - 2 x 50 Minutes

Heavenly Blues is a collaboration between local singer Cylvian Flynn and Pianist and Vocalist Alan Rae. Cylvian has a long track record of singing with local bands like Revo6 and Atelier du Soul as well as her alter ego as Just Tina as which she appeared on Stars in their Eyes. Alan has played keys for Blues Business, Ugly bugs Blues Band and Kitsch n Sync and also fronts local Ceilidh band Newick Folk. We’ve played together quite a bit over the last 10 years – Alan played keyboards for Cylvian in Revo6 and in Just Tina. We've decided to branch out and try something new. Cylvian wants to explore the full range of her voice while Alan has been studying Jazz piano at the Brighton Jazz School for the last 3 years. So we put our talents together to create a cool atmosphere by performing classics from the American Songbook like Autumn Leaves, Every time we say Goodbye and Bye Bye Blackbird topped up with soul classics like Natural Woman and Midnight Train to Georgia with a few bluesy numbers from previous repertoires. This provides a versatile repertoire for your event, be it a sophisticated evening do or a sunny lunchtime. We normally perform 2 x 50 minute sets but other arrangements are possible. We will provide our own pa. All we need is power and somewhere waterproof if we're playing outdoors

We perform popular contemporary tunes in a relaxed but highly professional 'background music' style, to help create a wonderful atmosphere for your special occasion. Our set includes songs by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Adele, Keane and Jess Glynne, as well as some Disney classics. We perform acoustically without the need for sound equipment, which means we can play in locations where power is not available, but also that we do not provide recorded music between sets. We typically perform 2 sets lasting 30 minutes each or 1 set lasting an hour but we are flexible with timings, as we realise that event schedules can often be unpredictable. Recent review: "Stop your search and book these guys up. They are amazing, I have never seen a more packed dance floor than at our wedding. My wife and I spent an eternity hunting for a wedding band and just couldn't find one that we liked at a price we wanted to pay. Then we stumble across Rhythm of the Night and loved them, and the cost was very reasonable. Craig and Charlotte were very responsive and flexible, answering all our queries. They provided a set list and we let them know which ones we preferred and which we didn't like. On the day, every song was a cracker and they sounded even better than they do in their recordings. Everyone commented on how great they were. Of the 100 guests, there were never more than 10 people sat down, even the grandparents and aunts who never dance were jumping about enjoying themselves.
