Recent review: The Hosen Brass Band was great. They attended our Christmas Carol concert on December 20th. There was so flexible, and played the music that we asked for them to play. I would definitely recommend them for future events.
Hi - we are interested in having your band for our wedding which is at Babington House, Babington, Somerset on Thursday 30th June. Interested to start at 6pm for a couple of hours during the drinks reception. Can we please have a clip of the solo option as we have only heard the quartet.
Also could you please let me know how much extra it would be if javier could play the bridal entrance song which will be at 5pm.
Excited to hear from you and see a clip of you perform
My partner and I are getting married on the 16th September 2017 in Bruton, Somerset.
We would love to have an Irish band at our wedding reception, mainly to keep it lively and get people dancing - but also because I grew up listening to it.
Are you available that weekend and if so could you please let me know the various hire options, costs and how long the sets are?
We're very laid back so I'd like your guidance on set lists etc, but I am keen for some songs that everyone will know (Irish Rover, Tell me ma, maybe some Pogues etc). Is this something you could do?
It would just be for the evening reception, possibly from 6 or 7pm.
We are renting a large house in Frome for a stag do. I would like to run a short Bavarian evening before we head out into Bath. It will start at around 5 and last 2 hours or so. We may not need a full band maybe a couple of guys to add a bit of background.
I'm getting married at Dillington House in Ilminster on Saturday 1st July 2017. I was wondering how much you would charge to play at the reception? Are you also able to provide a DJ service during your breaks?
I would apprecite it if you are able to reply via email so I have a copy of the quote.
I look foward to hearing from you.
I am looking for a mariachi band to come to the office next Monday and play at people's desks to cheer them up.
As it is Blue Monday! A bit of fun for the staff.
We are based in Bristol very close to the train station.
Are you available on the 16th January?
Thank you for the wonderful ceilidh on our wedding day. Everyone had such a fun time and loved the dancing, even those of us who had never done it before! You provided just what we wanted for the special day, despite being so close to Christmas and with terrible weather, and it was a highlight of the evening. All the best! (10 / 10)
Perry & Claire's Wedding Ceilidh
Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio provided a brilliant ceilidh for our wedding celebrations at Goldney Hall, Bristol on 12 August 2017. What a fantastic evening! The band entertained our hardy Scottish guests with well-known Scottish dances but it was most enjoyable to see English friends and family ceilidh dancing for the first time and loving it! The dances were called very clearly and were quite ambitious so there was much hilarity. It was infectious fun and everyone got involved. (The dance floor was almost too small!). Mike and the band were extremely accommodating, professional and enthusiastic. They have a huge repertoire and organised the evening flawlessly, from our first dance (Gay Gordons) to the throwing of the bouquet and the final Circassian Circle. Highly recommended.
Blag were really exactly what we were looking for! I don't live in London so I was nervous about choosing a band I hadn't heard play, but they sounded great online, and I spoke to Michael over the phone and on email about the type of party we were having and the music we wanted. Most importantly they played brilliantly on the night, everyone was up out their seats for a good knees up and we were guided round the dances that we didn't know. All the guests were happy.
Would definitely recommend!
