We are planning to do an Irish night with a Ceilih band where all funds we raise will be going to World Challenge. In 2018 a group of Guiseley School students will be visiting Nepal with World Challenge to help families recover from the earthquake, building schools and homes, teaching the children, helping local families and trekking through the mountains at a high altitude.
I'm looking for a band to do cover music - must be able to do covers of some irish/ st Patricks songs too e.g galway girl etc - but not limited to these songs. We already have a DJ for between sets. Indoor venue with a stage.
We are looking for a German Band to open our Beer Festival for an hour and a half on Saturday 27th May 2017. The venue is Walton Village Hall. Walton Village Hall. School Lane, Wetherby, West Yorkshire, LS23 7DW.
We are looking for a great band, though do not want the traditional German Beer games that often are part of the performance.
A friend who is a german singer / dj is following on from the band at 20:30
I'm having a 50th Birthday party in Derby. It's going to be black tie/ dress to impress. Looking for maybe an hour or so, but split into two halves - first half at say 8 pm for 30 mins, Robbie big band style, second half at 9 ish for Robbie's best hits. The venue itself holds about 80 people, there will be between 60 and 70 there.
Having an indoor party for maximum 150 guests and would like a Scottish Ceilidh. The venue is booked from 1800hrs until 0100hrs with food around 2030/2100hrs. We can look at what time would be better for the dance as I'll be looking to get a dj to fill the gaps and to end the evening.
Legends. Not only did these guys come to Brighton to lead a 30 person pub crawl, they didn't even know what a pub crawl was!!?? Now they do and they've left us with many memories, from having a duel with buskers, to marching through the North Laines to the strains of Ring of Fire, via causing chaos in numerous pubs, restaurants, and one knitting class. Thanks Mariachi Ray, once we have done the midget acrobats for our next outing I reckon we'll have you back, you were brilliant!
If you're looking for a band who will transform a tent full of people having quiet drinks into a raging fury of dance laughter merriment and general good times then BLAG are the act you're looking for. We booked them for a green and event to raise money to fight greenbelt destruction nearby and they instantly communicated with everybody In the room (which ranged from early 20s to late 50s and 60s) the minute they started playing. A great repertoire of traditional favourites and interesting covers especially the doors' "people are strange" They're compact yet sound huge- and the great calling instructions had everybody laughing and smiling no matter how awful they were at dancing the Gay Gordon!. Sometimes this kind of ceilidh can be slow and boring when everybody doesn't really know what to do but the band made it all happen very quickly and very enjoyably . Did I mention they're nice guys as well?
A wonderful ensemble - their performance was joyful, slick and carefree all at once. Each of the musicians were very talented and charismatic in their own right, making for a very professional group. We booked them for our university ball and everyone loved their Cuban sound. A really lovely and easy going group of people too, I'd highly recommend booking Cafecito for any sort of event when you want people up on their feet dancing, or to create a sophisticated and fun summery atmosphere." - Alice, Magdalen College, Oxford
