Description
Whether trio or quartet, instrumental or with a vocalist, Tzigauners bring a lively and sophisticated swing to your event. We are an ensemble of professional musicians with a shared love of the early European swing popularised by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Our standard quartet features violin, two guitars and double bass, however we also offer other line-ups featuring smaller or larger ensembles and with other instruments such as accordion or clarinet.
Our repertoire is chiefly made up of swing era jazz standards and Reinhardt/Grappelli compositions – although we often play more contemporary repertoire in the swing style: this includes anything from Billy Joel, the Beatles to Paloma Faith and even the odd movie theme. We are always happy to take requests, too and our master set list is detailed below.
