What a lovely experience. The food was delicious and very well prepared. The ladies were amazing. So friendly and obviously cared about their product and the way they prepared and presented it.
We had a large family gathering in a field on a farm and they brought an extra Ray of sunshine into the proceedings.
Even after we had all eaten they prepared extras for us to use later or another day despite them having travelled 3 hours to get to us .... Bravo Ladies...Respect...would definitely use them again

Wow, awesome. Spice-it-up was fantastic. Really made my dad-in-laws 70th birthday extremely special. Debbie and Kelly just turned up and put everything together. The concept is a great idea, all self-contained in the garden and wonderfully put together.
The food was lovely and well presented, I really enjoyed the fillet salmon stuffed with callaloo and spinach, stuffed peppers and the chickpea & sweet potato curry. The choice was extensive and a nice range of salads too. The food platter was plentiful and well presented. The guests really enjoyed the food and the wide variety was above everyone's expectations. It was all reasonably priced.
The interaction with Debbie from beginning to end, was quick and easy. We booked Spice-it-up at short notice as the celebration was a last-minute thing. I'm so glad our celebration was in October, because I'm sure if it was summer Spice-it-up would have been booked out at least multiple weeks prior.
They are wonderful ladies and I wish them success in their future endeavours. Would definitely love to book them again, they are the best Caribbean caterers that An exceptional culinary experience.

We used Spice it Up BBQ for a corporate garden party after finding them on Poptop. Debbie was a great help from the beginning, assisting with the menu choices, giving us the flexibility to add and swap things to cater for various dietary requirements of our guests. Debbie kept in touch before the party by email and phone, she arrived with her crew on time around 3hours before the party started, promptly set up and started cooking the food, they set out salads, cutlery and sauces and told us when the food was ready. We had around 50 to feed, our guests enjoyed the food so much they went back for 2nd and 3rd servings!! There was more than enough food to go around, plus I gave Debbie containers to box up leftovers which we ate the day after!! the ingredients they use are top quality, they cook carribean food to perfection, and Debbie cooks the mutton curry herself which is amazzzzing! everything was so delicious, the food was a hit for our guests and I am sure they will be for anyone that hires them, I would highly recommend Spice it up, thank you so much 😊

Arrived on time and the set up worked really well!!
People couldn’t get over how nice the food was, all next day that’s all people in the office was talking about, and how even the food they took home still tasted like it was just off the grill.
I 100% recommend Debbie, real Jamaican dishes with flavour, and even catered for our dietary requirements (halal and plant based dishes) I without a doubt will be using her in the future.

Such a great experience - Debbie & co confirmed what time we wanted to start serving food then arrived and set everything up in time for that, and their setup made queuing and choosing your food really easy. They didn't need a power source as everything was BBQ'ed, and it was DELICIOUS! Lots of choice (though most people went for some of everything!), dietary requirements (veggie, vegan and Halal) were all well catered for and absolutely everything was provided - plates (actually boxes, for ease of carrying) cutlery, napkins, condiments, salads, sauces and masses of amazing food. Many people came up to me (the party organiser) during the event to say how great the food was, and some people even took boxes of leftovers home - one person said the curried mutton was the best thing about the entire party! We'd book them again without hesitation - everything was hot, fresh, full of flavour and just a bit different from a standard British BBQ :)

It was an amazing experience. Debbie and Julie were fantastic very professional, food was superb in particular the stuffed sea bass. Would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.

Absolutely amazing ladies who couldn't have done more to make our sons 21st birthday go any better. Guest of honour was almost 2 hours late but this didn't faze them food was still perfect guests were having at least 2 servings and taking some home there was so much choice. Debbie and her girls did an amazing job for us to celebrate our eldest sons graduation and our youngests 21st. The food was amazing and so much of it - enough for all the rugby boys to have seconds, if not thirds and still leftovers. Everyone was very impressed with the variety, taste and quality of the food. Spice it Up were great. We had a Garden Party for 80 doctors and their families and the food was delicious especially the Jerk Chicken and steak skewers. The 3 who came on the day were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they even boxed up the leftovers for us in separate containers. I have no hesitation in recommending the Spice it Up team and we are trying to look for an excuse to have them back!!!

The food went down so well with our guests at the wedding we have had people asking how they can get more!

The only criticism we have is regarding cutlery. No knives were provided making it a little tricky for some of our guests to eat the jerk chicken. We had plenty of knives of our own however it would have been a little smoother if they were included at the time.

The fact that is our ONLY criticism should be evidence of just how amazing these ladies are.

We were very happy with Spice It Up BBQ. The food was great (particularly the curry mutton). Debbie was regularly in touch before the event to make sure they were bringing everything we needed. They offered a very competitive price. Small point- if its possible to serve more people at once (3 servers maybe?) it would have made the queues smaller, but other than that everything was perfect. Thanks Debbie!

The chefs for our occasion were very good indeed. The food was well cooked and much enjoyed by all. The staff were friendly and personable. I would highly recommend Spice It Up! Many thanks to Dennis, Corinne and Natanya. They worked very hard to give us all a good meal!

I really can't recommend Debbie highly enough. The menu was exactly what we were looking for and on the evening she had arrived and was set-up in plenty of time so that the food was available when we needed it. We booked Spice it Up to cater for 150 guests who are mostly over 50. The feedback from them was outstanding with lots commenting that it was the best commercial BBQ they had ever had. We were delighted with the quality and quantity of the food , including puddings. The team were fantastic. They were professional, really friendly and hard working. They are a well oiled machine!! We shall definitely use them again if we need a BBQ for lots of people and we can totally recommend them.

On a severely snowy day in March when many of our other vendors were struggling to turn up, they battled their way through the snow with no complaints and supplied hot delicious food in the bitter cold throughout.
There were a variety of communication needs at this event but Debbie and the team took this in their stride and were professional, courteous and efficient throughout.

We are super happy we chose Debbie and her sister at Spice It Up Bar B Q! These two ladies know how to cook and we had nothing but positive feedback from their selection of Caribbean grub. Debbie was easily contactable with the lead up to our wedding, she also was flexible when we asked to swap a couple of things from the menu she proposed. We were keen to have Caribbean food for the hearty home cooking. Half of the family are Jamaican and it felt the perfect cuisine for us as we officially got married in Aruba, one of the Caribbean islands. There was plenty of food, and the ladies didn't let any go to waste, allowing guests to take it home. The finishing touches these two brought was even more than we hoped, extremely friendly and welcoming to the mile long queue of guests they had to serve. If anyone wants a wedding meal with a twist, and plenty of food to go around to all of your guests, we'd recommend Spice it up Bar B Q.

We had Debbie cook our food for a football event. Cooking for 100 people, the food was excellent serving a variety if carribean food. Debbie was excellent in feeding more then we anticipated due to more young people turning up. She had enough food to cover everyone. I would highly recommend her. We are in reading and she came from Birmingham arriving with plenty of time to cook. We will be using spice it up for many more tournaments held at the madejski stadium. 5 star rating from us at reading fc.

"Spice it Up catered for my Fathers Farewell Celebration (funeral). At an already sad and stressful time, Spice It Up took the weight off our shoulders catering for 200 guests. The staff were smartly dressed, friendly and professional , which is key for me.

Debbie & Corinne (sorry if I've spelt that wrong) did a fab job with our work social BBQ. The food was fab, everyone, even the long term burger n hotdog people tried and loved the food - we even had a very happy and full vegan which is pretty unusual for a BBQ. The girls were a great laugh too yet still professional. I wouldn't hesitate in using again or recommending this company

Spice it up bar b q were amazing! The food was delicious and didn't seem to stop coming. Both ladies cooking were all smiles and happy to help. I can not recommend them enough. They catered a birthday barbecue for my cousins 21st in our back garden for around 60 guests (majority being rugby players) and left everyone satisfied. They even cooked our extra halumi we brought on the barbecue as an extra (preferred options for our vegiterian guest). I can not recommend their services enough.

Spice it Up BarBQ was friendly, patient and informative while we sorted out the event. The were courteous, professional and accommodating when they set up and served over our 2 day event. They have an efficient set up which means they can quickly get through a queue. They provided vegetarian, and halal meals, catering to the diverse group that we had on hand and very good price per head. Booked Spice It Up Bar BQ for a sales kick off for our entire company. Debbie and team arrived early morning and immediately got to work. The large grill barbecues produced great food that was well appreciated by all of our staff. The menu was varied and all delicious and incredibly good quality given our budget. They served food for 2 hours, all with large smiles, catering to our staffs every demand. Great food, great people and a good price, would definitely recommend and use again.

They catered for a 3 course sit down meal (served to the table) for 75 guests and prepared the buffet for our night time guests. Debbie has great communication and even set up the room for us, they are the perfect alternative to traditional wedding food, the staff were extremely lovely and maintained a smile all day.
