Well, Hello there and thank you for stopping by. Well, I should start by introducing myself and saying a few things about us. So, I started Sophie-Lou Photography in 2014 after spending around 5 years working within a High Street Photo Studio. I mainly worked on Studio based Children’s and Family shoots. However, quite quickly, I was asked to cover Weddings and Corporate Photography.
Ashley has an eye for the finer details and finds creative shots. Often using Vintage lenses to create some very unique Photographs. He is my second shooter on weddings, this allows us to offer 2 very different perspectives of your day. In 2019 Ashley underwent training to further his knowledge of Videography and is proud to be able to offer this to our Bride’s and Grooms.
I have an intimate and traditional approach to my Studio Portraiture and I love shooting out on location, using the beautiful landscapes we have around us here in Essex to make lasting memories. Using my extensive training in Wedding Photography, I naturally use the flow of the day to create a Documentary style gallery of your day.
Ashley is a documentary-style photographer and Videographer with a specialty for placing himself in locations to capture beautiful candid shots. Ashley had an interest in photography starting in his early teens and experimenting with Action, Landscape, and abstract photography. His interest in photography was inherited from his Grandmother Anita who enjoyed capturing photographs of every occasion and using Macro lenses to capture close-up detailed photographs of the flowers she grew in her Garden. When Ashley joined the team in 2016 he broadened his knowledge and skillset towards Children, Family & Weddings. Ashley is our lead photographer on commercial and corporate photography.

We had the best experience during our shoot, little one is only 5months so expected lots of tears but she was made to feel so comfortable and we recieved some of the most beautiful photos of her which we all adore family and friends included. We loved it that much and are so happy with the photos we are planning to book again for a cake smash for her 1st birthday and probably for many more in the future.
We had a session with Sophia this week and have been really pleased with the whole experience. She put our children (2.5 yr & newborn) at ease, got lots of lovely shots and edited them quickly and well. All communication has been great and prices are reasonable. We are so over the moon with our photos from our family location shoot, the photos are absolutely stunning and the whole service has been so professional. Such a quick turn around with photos being edited, and never too much hassle to change something etc if needed. Sophia is a lovely lady and made us all feel so comfortable during the shoot which has shone through in the photos! Will be 100% using again in the future.

I specialise in Natural Light photography, only using additional lighting as a last resort. I prefer to shoot in a traditional manner, although I am versed in modern forms of wedding photography.

For studio and location shoots I have a 2 week turnaround (rarely needing more than 5 days) For wedding and event photography to ensure the highest quality images I allow up to 4/6 weeks depending on the time of year.
This is dependent on package. Although every image received is edited to a professional and high quality finish.
For studio work I do work alone. For my Location, event and wedding photography I will have at least one extra member of staff.
Yes, I have several alternative photographers in the case of a worse case scenario.
