After managing a Children's play area hosting private parties for 5 years, I branched out into facepainting and Balloon modelling. I absolutely love my job and take great pride in getting everything just right for your special day!

• May 21, 2017I attended my nephew's 4th birthday party where Lucy, from Ladybird Facepainting, was set up with an impressive array of brightly coloured paints and glitters. She even had a rainbow of paints in a pot, and she told all the girls she had caught it, and put it in the pot, especially for their party! The designs she painted were amazing but that's not why I was so impressed, Lucy was brilliant with the kids, knowing just what to say to them and even managing to paint a fab tiger on my wriggly, over excited nephew. She didn't stop there, she then went on to make them all matching balloon animals and I even ended up with some very realistic roses painted around my eye. I would definitely book her for my party ( if I had kids) and would highly recommend her for yours!.

Approximately 15 minutes.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes.
What experience do you have working with children?
I've worked with Children all my life. I volunteered as a girls brigade leader for 2 years. I managed a children's play area for 5 years, hosting private parties for upto 35 children ageing 1-12 years. We offered dancing, puppets, party games,arts and cratfs and costume characters. I work on various free arts and craft events, held during the holidays, around south Yorkshire for children of all ages. I've been facepainting for 4 years now and balloon modelling for 2 years and love my job.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes.
Do you limit the number of children that we can invite to our child's Birthday party?
The number of children is not limited however I can facepaint between 10 and 15 children per hour ( this does not take into account stoppages for food and cake etc) With balloon modelling I can model for around 30 an hour if it's simple one balloon models (swords, simple dogs, cats, rabbits, hats etc) The more complicated balloons take longer so limit the amount of balloons twisted in an hour.
How far will you travel?
I will travel for up to an hour one way for work of upto 2 hours. For three hours and over I'm happy to travel further.
Can you do bespoke balloons and Facepainting designs?
Yes, but I would need plenty of notice so I can come up with something spectacular for you!
If I need more than one artist can you provide them?
Yes! I have lots of professional painty friends so could provide facepainting and balloon modelling in abundance (booking in plenty of notice to avoid disappointment is advised)
Can you facepaint children under 3 years?
No. Unfortunately face paints are not recommended for use on children under 3 due to the sensitivity of their skin.
