The Soul Department are based in the West Midlands and are a nine-piece collective of first class musicians and singers, guaranteed to make the very best of your special occasion. We have male and female lead vocals, plus a full live horn section and stomping back line! From weddings and parties to corporate events and functions, we have an enviable reputation for professional performances and excellent sound quality, playing all the songs you know and love (and some you have forgotten!).
We cannot recommend The Soul Department enough, they were amazing. All of our guests said they were the best wedding band they had ever seen and everyone had an absolute blast, they really got the party going. From the moment I booked in December ,Abi from the band contacted me and from then on I knew I had made the right choice to book Soul Department,they were very understanding with Covid always in the background and then when my 60 th birthday party went ahead the band were brilliant from start to finish.

They were very professional - emailed regularly regarding contract, cost,deposit,schedule, song preferences - every little detail.
They arrived on time were very efficient at setting up and accommodating our request to surprise the Birthday girl on her arrival etc.
They got people up dancing and were generous to little toddlers who were joining in and even played a little longer.

Probably the best Soul & Motown band for many years. An, energetic passionate & motivating performance when I saw them recently at the Grieg Centre, they had the whole house on their feet.

Best wedding band ever! We couldn’t have asked for more from such a lovely bunch of people! Not only did the band travel through some challenging snow to make sure they made it to our booking but they had all ages and all of our guests on their feet! We have had so many compliments on the band and how much guests enjoyed it saying it’s the most they have enjoyed dancing at a wedding! We could tell that the band were enjoying themselves which really rubbed off onto our guests, they read the audience well and had full participation from all! They made us feel fully comfortable right from our first dance and caused the night to end in some impressive high kicks from my brother in law! They made it a night nobody will forget!

We have hundreds of previous wedding clients, but regularly perform for Wroxall Abbey Estate in Warwickshire as well as other annual functions for IGEM, Dulux and various charity balls.

As standard we provide 2 x 45 minutes set, but can accommodate any requirements you might have.
