The band was founded with dancing in mind and we find that our broad repertoire is popular with all ages and tastes. Ideal for weddings, parties and dance events - Hot Shoes is a professional, experienced and entertaining band that always goes down well!

We are steeped in the tradition of the 1920s swing era and perform classics such as The Charleston and It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. However, our speciality is performing modern Pop music in a swing style for weddings and parties. Our set includes songs from artists such as; Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk. See below for our full set list!

As you may have noticed, we have two different female singers. Both singers perform with us full time as we perform at a large number events throughout the year. We also offer the option of adding more brass or you can choose the slightly smaller five piece version of the band (see booking options).

Hot Shoes have a wealth of experience of performing for clients such as Porsche, GQ Magazine, Diageo and DHL as well weddings all over the UK. We have also had the privilege to play for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla and The Duchess of Cornwall. Furthermore, we’ve performed at Jazz clubs and festivals around the world, including London Jazz festival, Brecon Jazz festival, Langnau Jazz Nights Switzerland, The 606 Club London, Hay Festival of literature and art and countless more.

The core element of our music is based on the 1920s swing style, including songs such as the Charleston, It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing and Is you is or is you ain't my baby. However, we also cater for a larger audience by playing more up to date chart songs by artists such as George Ezra, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and many more.

The Hot Shoes often perform as a quartet, for more cozy intimate gigs, but we are more in our element as the 'full throttle' 6 piece band heard on the recordings.
We perform with a either a male or female singer, If you have a particular preference just let us know and we'll take care of it! There is also the option of having 2 singers, please get in touch to find out more.

Hot Shoes really made the night! We were having a 1920/30s-themed wedding and Hot Shoes provided us with the icing on the cake. They also helped out when the best man screwed up the playlist for the slot after the band finished playing, so that was very much appreciated too! You guys are very talented and great people so thanks for everything. Chris & Becky.

“The band were really helpful when we contacted them before the wedding. On the day they set up with no fuss, and let us borrow their mics for our speeches. Their 3 sets were all really good-everyone was dancing from the beginning until the end, and everyone has been commenting on what a great band they are. They were so full of energy, and even ended up wearing props from our photo booth which added to the fun- the drummer looked great in a fez!”

“For my 40th birthday last November, I wanted to re-create some swing style magic for myself and my friends. And with the Hot Shoes that's exactly what I got. The set list was awesome, and you can tell the band love what they do as the sound they produced was wonderful. I cant recommend them highly enough. Two long sets just wasn't enough! Thanks guys, we had an incredible evening.”
