FAQs

• How long do you need to set up?

  I am to arrive at your booking 20-30 minutes before the start time in order to be set up and ready and to paint the birthday child first.

• Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

  Yes, £5 million. It covers face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon twisting and henna

• What experience do you have working with children?

  I have painted professionally for five years now and also work at an after school club based in a school Mon-Fri.

• Are you DBS checked?

  Yes, I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate through my work in a school. I am also paediatric first aid trained with a current certificate.

• Do you limit the number of children that we can invite to our child's Birthday party?

  I can paint approx 12 children per hour without compromising quality so I advise that a two hour party would comfortably cover 20-25 children. I can be booked for additional hours, if your party time allows, at a discounted rate. This is subject to whether I have another booking afterwards, unless you have booked the additional time beforehand.

• What hygiene precautions do you take?

  My paints are all cosmetic FDA and EU approved and I only use cosmetic grade glitters. A fresh sponge is used for each child and washed at 90 degrees and air dried between uses. My kit is regularly cleaned and brushes are sterilised. Due to insurance stipulations I will only paint and tattoo children over the age of three. Glitter tattoos will only be applied from the neck downwards as the glue is not suitable for use on faces. I will also not paint any children with obvious colds/running noses/pink eye/infections (including scabbed over chicken pox) to minimise any cross contamination to other children.
