The Old Vicarage is ideal for those wanting to holiday together and the house is certainly spacious enough to accommodate two or three families or groups of friends.

The combination of double, twin and single bedrooms make for flexible sleeping arrangements and the three bathrooms mean that it is often possible for each group to have their own separate facilities.

The communal rooms are spacious enough for people to be together - for instance everyone can fit around the dining table or sit around in the lounge - but there are also plenty of other quieter areas for people to find their own space.

Use of the adjoining leisure facilities means there are lots of activities on site to suit all ages and energy levels, from the large indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi to the fully-equipped gym, table tennis, table football and outdoor tennis courts. The grounds are excellent for sitting in with a book, enjoying a group barbeque, having a kick around with the kids or just quietly taking in the spectacular views. The private stretch of river that runs just below the house extends this natural 'playground' even further!

Looking outside the parameters of The Old Vicarage, the Yorkshire Dales are also an excellent holiday destination for group holidays, with quite literally something for everyone. There is an abundance of attractions, activities and places to visit which can be explored further on this website.

Something to celebrate?

Many of our guests book The Old Vicarage to celebrate a special event such as a birthday or anniversary.

We can arrange additional services to make your stay extra special, such as professional catering and tailor-made birthday cakes, treatments, bikes and so on. Trent Bridge

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET CLUB TRENT BRIDGE, WEST BRIDGFORD,, NG2 6AG, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
We'd love to welcome you to our Wedding Open Day on Sunday 17 February, between 11am and 3pm. Find out more...

The romance of Trent Bridge, like most great romances in English history, began not in a flowery meadow or by a babbling brook. It began in a pub. William Clarke fell in love with the landlady of the Trent Bridge Inn – and a year after marrying her and moving in around 1837, he’d started hosting cricket matches in the field around the back.

Today, that field is one of the most famous and beautiful cricket grounds in the world. A place replete with magic moments in history, old-world character and all the love and attention-to-detail that goes into keeping both alive.

Whether you’re a pair of cricket-lovers or you simply want a unique and charming wedding venue for your special day that’s less cliché and more charm, we’d be simply delighted to help.

£2750
Up to 300 guests
Kimberley Hall really is the perfect wedding venue in Norfolk.

Weddings are occasions when privacy really matters and there should be no compromise on style or aesthetics. The south front of the house provides a romantic, private and idyllic setting with its breathtaking view of the extensive parkland, lake and ancient oaks. The Music Room, where the wedding ceremony traditionally take place, is a light and elegant space with historic plaster work that connects onward to the garden via a beautiful spiral staircase capped by a coffered dome. The garden may be accessed additionally via a hexagonal room adjacent to the Music Room that links to the stylish West Wing entertainment space via a spacious curved colonnade and contemporary bar. Your ceremony may also take place as a Duo ceremony on the rear manicured lawn.

Kimberley is imbued with a sense of one family offering their hospitality to another without the trappings of a corporate or public venue. Multiple options exist for the reception, both inside or outside in the terraced garden among the yew trees overlooking the historic park with its romantic lake and ancient oaks.

The West Wing is the main double-height room which provides the ideal setting for the ‘wedding breakfast’, dinner and dancing. Its contemporary vernacular design complements the classical rooms in the hall with lime-washed red brick, oak floors and a state of the art lighting and laser system allowing the walls and roof structure to be bathed in the atmospheric colour of your choice and enhanced by special light effects. This negates the need for you to hire in such extras at your own cost. Up to 120 guests may be seated at round tables with a dance floor at the far end. The upper floor is arranged with comfortable seating and a balcony overlooking the dance floor enables guests to relax yet remain involved with the entertainment. This area can also be used for standing receptions, providing 3,200 square foot that can accommodate in excess of 200 guests for an ‘after dinner party’.

If your numbers exceed the maximum capacity of the west wing then a marquee can be hired to fit amongst the ancient yew trees in the rear garden.

Kimberley has a list of nominated caterers which will be sent to you on request, their is also an extensive wine list and a fully stocked pay bar.
