We are Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band, a travelling troupe of musicological minstrels, peddling our unique good-time tonic to all four corners of the land. Made from a secret combination of early blues and jazz forms, a sprinkle of ragtime, a dash of hot swing, the essence of sweet spiritual, a pinch of the oldest of old-timey melodies and a teaspoon of Vaudevillian and Music Hall showoffery, all whisked together with the most esoteric of folk rhythms. The result is a surpassingly melodious music which is replete with tones of joy and fulfilment. This harmonic medicine is a natural aid to titillation and is a guaranteed restorer of vitality, vim and vigour.
Allow us present to you our good-time rags and reels, show stoppers and sight stealers; music for foot stomping and toe tickling that joins hearts with flesh whilst invigorating the thinking mind. We stand before you as harbingers of gentility, bearers of ingenuity, possessors of con...

Clutching At Straws are a multi-talented and diverse alternative folk trio, hailing from the ‘creative county’ of Staffordshire. Clutching At Straws use an impressive variety of instruments to build a full, layered sound suffused with subtlety and their influences are diverse and eclectic with hints of everything from the irony of bluegrass through to the drama of musical theatre.
Clutching At Straws‘ musical idiosyncrasies are more than matched by the real coup de theatre of their original lyrics. Real life observation and experience lend themselves to songs that are deep and meaningful, digging into the fundamental questions of human existence, juxtaposed by songs full of hyperbole conferring a dry English humour laced with a healthy dose of tongue in cheek satirical soliloquies, that are often intentionally subversive.
Straws’ live shows are brimming with energy and audience interaction. Coupled with their lyricism, this interaction in...
It wouldn’t be unfair to say The Crutwell’s have been around a bit (musically speaking, of course). Between them, Andi and Nico have procured recording and publishing deals, penned top UK Chart Hits for the BBC, written and produced for companies such as Fox USA, 19 Entertainment, Decca Records and Universal and toured with likes of The Pogues and The Stranglers… This doth make a fine brew!
Now, their new guitar/violin duo is here to bring you a fantastic set of acoustically reinvented classics, utilising all their experience and swagger to sonically set your night on fire! Bringing both humour and professionalism, these guys are must for any venue that loves great acoustic music. Strictly no backing tracks, The Crutwell’s aren’t just keeping acoustic music live... they are keeping it alive, and God bless em’ for it.
You can book us as solo (acoustic guitar and vocals) or a duo (acoustic guitar, violin and two vocals) or even just the vi...

At the heart of every Earcandy act is a simple philosophy.
Life isn’t about facts and figures. It’s about feelings. The moments that shape who we are, moments that bring us together. These moments are what we live for.
That’s why our musical team buck the trend and develop our acts from scratch. They are a manifestation of our passion and collective experience in the record industry; each one designed to leave you and your guests speechless.
The result? Acts that redefine what ‘function entertainment’ should be.
Experience Earcandy entertainment and you’ll see what the fuss is about.

It is a Charity event at a church hall. First half of the evening their will be prize Bingo about 6/7 games and then we are wanting to go "Back to the 60's" with a singer, but music can be also from 50's and 70's.
If I can obtain a great quote I am getting married next year on 23rd July in Leicester so could also be looking for a singer for that.
I am planning a surprise 50th for my mum at our local cricket club on the 15th August. I would need everything set up and ready for 7pm that evening and music can be played until 1am. Are you able to get back to me with a quote. We have all day at the venue to set up.
Any other info you need then let me know.
As it is my 50th birthday party next April, my wife and I would like to hold a roaring 20's/Great Gatsby fancy dress house party. We would therefore like a band just like yourselves to provide entertainment. There will be about 50 guests with the party running from about 8pm to 12.30am.
Please advise whether you are available and the costs involed.
We are holding a charity family fundraiser in aid of Parkinson's UK on the 4th of September. My grandad is currently suffering with this disease and wish to raise funds towards such a wonderful charity who have offered lots of care and support towards our family!
We're hoping for some entertainment to appear for just an hour as a donation of good will and of course plenty of opportunity to promote theirselves on the evening.
The rat pack and frank Sinatra is an old favourite of my grandads and would be absolutely amazing if you could kindly help us out.
Parkinson's UK is a charity that helps people and families with Parkinson's to be treated fairly and have access to support and care they need. I am raising money for Parkinson's UK because my grandad who is an ex police officer was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's who now finds life incredibly difficult with his symptoms. And without Parkinson's UK's help and advice he wouldn't be able to do half of what he still enjoys!
On 4th September 2015 I am organising a fundraiser which will include a raffle and am looking for raffle prizes which greatly boost my fundraising efforts for Parkinson's UK.
I would be hugely grateful for any donation you would be able to make to help support my fundraising efforts. All donations will be properly thanked and acknowledged on the evening.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to get back to me.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I understand this is a big ask but any help or donation would be gratefully received.
I look forward to hearing from.

a last minute idea for mum who is very difficult to buy for as she doesn't want anything!! However she is going to be 80 and has a life long love of classical music. She is no longer able to get to the symphony hall for concerts. It would be wonderful if we could arrange for some live music even for a short time or on the way to another booking!
So this would be at my parents home in lichfield, we call it Cookson HQ. refreshments available from super talented brother. There will be 16 of + two labradours!
anyway, thanks for reading this.
We're emailing to enquire about your availability for a wedding on Sat 30th Jan and for a quote. We are getting married in Grantham, at Alive church on Castlegate, where the receptions will also be held. We are looking for a ceilidh band for the evening, to start at about 7.30/8pm.
Fantastic band who got all our guests dancing! They were very flexible with song choice and gave us plenty of options. The best part was that they learnt our first song - Nickleback, Far Away - and performed it perfectly, almost as if Chad Kroeger was in the room. Everyone talked highly of the music after the wedding and we will definitely be recommending them to anyone with upcoming nuptuals or a large party. Thank you Ben and Ben!
