The band offers a varied performance of Scottish and Irish folk music and song, with a few extras thrown in! We use a loop pedal to create a full band sound with only two of us, with a lineup of fiddle, pipes, flute, sax, cajon and guitar. We can also do an acoustic set, on fiddle, flute pipes and guitar, playing a mix of songs and tunes.

About supplier

Kate and Roddy have been playing together for 15 years and have built up a rapport that makes for an engaging, dynamic and spontaneous performance. Both are professional musicians with 30 years experience, meaning that they are flexible and ready for anything!

Newick Folk played at our wedding and they were brilliant! Highly recommended. Karn from the band responded so quickly, everything was done smoothly, they were patient, personable and made our night so special. The band tailored their music to our taste and event, and it really was fantastic. Brilliant music and everyone was raving! I wish I could do it all over again and have them play for us again!

Neil and Mark were absolutely brilliant, we could not rate them anymore. They have been more than accommodating, from learning a song for our first dance (which they performed better than we could have hoped) to being really flexible and ready to go for us in an instant. 11/10 would recommend for anyone, and will definitely keep their details for future parties.

Outstanding performance by Josie. Considering the present circumstances we are now all enduring, she made such a tremendous effort to ensure everything was as it should be. The band was absolutely amazing! We had a brilliant time dancing the evening away! All our guests absolutely loved it, and David got everybody up and dancing. "We booked the spring heeled jacks for our fundraiser. We wanted a ceilidh band with a great caller and we couldn’t have chosen a better one. They got everybody on the dance (even the most reluctant) Our night was a great success and it was all down to a fabulous band with fantastic music and entertainment skills Would absolutely recommend them."
