We are the Iron Broo Ceilidh Band. A well known Aberdeen based Ceilidh band with reputation as one of the liveliest and fun Ceilidh Bands on the traditional Scottish music scene. We've played throughout Scotland and abroad for 2 decades. Our very special lively blend of traditional Scottish Ceilidh music never disappoints and we are available for hire throughout Aberdeenshire, Scotland and around the World. We are the ideal ceilidh band to play your ceilidh functions such as weddings or corporate events. All of Iron Broo's ceilidh dances are called so there is no excuse for not dancing! We can be very persuasive.
The Morgan Lee Band is a six piece Glasgow-based group. The line-up is Anne Morgan (fiddle, viola, backing vocals); Hugh Lee (lead vocals, mandolin, bouzouki, fiddle, harmonica & whistles); Emma Joyce (lead vocals, accoustic guitar); Tony Llewelyn (accoustic & resonator guitars, backing vocals) and Ian Cleland (bass). We are particularly interested in the alternative edge of the folk music scene although we do play some 'oldies'. Our set list ranges from traditional material through to more contemporary and self-penned numbers . Hence we term our music ’Celtic Eclectica’.
We perform regularly at many folk clubs including The Star (Glasgow), Stirling, Irvine, Dunfermline, and Falkirk to name but a few, and also play at folk festivals and pubs all over the UK. Over the coming months we are looking forward to performing in various pubs and folk clubs further afield. We are particularly excited about our second outing to Co. Durham and the North ...
A lively folk/gypsy/ceilidh band with tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, America and England.
We are available for performing concerts, barn dances (or ceilidhs) at pubs, festivals, weddings, birthdays, BBQ's or any other party!
We perform a range of music (both songs and tunes) from a broad repertoire and era from traditional folk to 70's and 80's rock!
We can cater for Scottish 'flavoured' Ceilidhs, although for most Barn Dance/ Ceilidhs we would keep it mixed to allow dancers of all experience levels to enjoy themselves.
Our aim is to 'entertain, not educate', it should be fun after all!

Birthday party (adult)
- Aviemore, Inverness-Shire
My name is Nathalie and I am looking for a small band (duo-trio)to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday.
It will be inside a cottage so no loud sound is need it.
there are going to be around 18 people.
And it is very simple I just want to make my boyfriends 30th birthday special.
Can you please let me know the prices so I can check if I can afford this,
Thank you very much,
Kind regards ,
We're getting married in Glasgow 5 mins from the city centre on the 4th March 2017.
I was hoping to surprise my wife to be with a band to restart the party after the break in the evening for about 30 mins. With such a short set I was hoping for an acoustic set to maximise the surprise.
She loves Mariachi bands, as well as the Mariachi covers of modern songs (like the Dorito adverts). Its a bit of a long shot at this late stage and this might not be possible at all. But was just looking for a quote, as you can imagine planning and paying for a wedding is costly!
The venue is German themed, so a german band may work if mariachi isn't available, if they can do covers.
Hi- I am planning to hold a fundraiser country/ folk night. I am looking for a good, up-beat country band with maybe a wee bit Scottish folk thrown in. Usually around £100 people attend. My date is a little flexible.
I'm looking for a ceilidh band for our upcoming wedding. I've probably left it too late now but worth checking.
Wedding is 14 Oct 2017 in dunkeld.
We are looking for a band but not necessarily to play a full normal set. We'd like a good few songs that get people going then probably a dj for a bit with the band doing songs in between non ceilidh music. Or like 2 x 30 to 40 mins sets. Or a mix of the above really.
An idea for availability and cost would be perfect.
Blag were really exactly what we were looking for! I don't live in London so I was nervous about choosing a band I hadn't heard play, but they sounded great online, and I spoke to Michael over the phone and on email about the type of party we were having and the music we wanted. Most importantly they played brilliantly on the night, everyone was up out their seats for a good knees up and we were guided round the dances that we didn't know. All the guests were happy.
Would definitely recommend!
Words cannot describe how pleased we are about the exceptional entertainment provided by Dave, Mike and Gerry at our wedding in Durham. Their fantastic repertoire truly added a special and unique touch to our evening, and provided many of our guests from all corners the world a wonderful introduction to British folk music. Not to mention how patient and friendly their caller Dave was especially in teaching the dances to our guests, many of whom had never danced a Ceilidh before. In addition, their cheerfulness and easygoing disposition really helped us and our guests have a marvellous time. To this day, our guests still constantly praise the ceilidh music provided during the evening. Thank you so much and we would recommend them over and over again to anyone seeking quality entertainment for any event."
Thank you ever so much once again - you truly made it a night to remember for us.

Mike played at my mother's funeral and I must say although it was a sad and emotional day he was absolutely fantastic. Even one of the funeral pull bearers cried and everyone said it was one of the most emotionally charged funerals they had been to which in part was due to Mike. A huge thank you from all our family.
