Lift the roof off your party with the rock-ceilidh band! We mix well-known rock riffs amongst traditional ceilidh tunes on our electric instruments and we give full instructions using fun-filled banter to make sure everyone can enjoy the dancing. We entertain guests in Central Scotland, in hotels, huts, castles, and under canvas. Although we often do 100% ceilidh, disco also comes with the package - many clients prefer 'rock' ceilidh until half-time and then disco to finish the evening.

After many years playing with ceilidh bands both in Ireland and Scotland, award-winning Northern Ireland-born fiddle player, Mary Gristwood, started the Rock Ceilidh Band in 2014 combining her two favorite music genres - rock and trad.

Thank you so much what a super band, they really made my party by playing before hand while our guests had drinks and for the dance in the fabulous barn at The Chequers in Heaverham near Sevenoaks. All guests danced our socks off, great fun! We thoroughly recommend A2 Band for all ages.

Blag came along and did a wonderful job of entertaining at my rescheduled 50th Birthday party. They were very accommodating, playing their first set outside and then moving inside in the break. They are very skilled musicians and did an excellent job. However, they are misrepresented as a Ceilidh band, as I had asked for a number of led dances and to have a caller encourage people to join in. They did a great set, but chose …

We hired Spill The Whisky for our wedding and could not recommend them more. Debby was a fantastic caller and got all of our guests up and dancing even when the aircon broke! None of us had any particular ceilidh experience but that didn't matter at all. We had so many compliments from our guests who had an amazing time and we all had so much fun!
