Hi I'm looking for a ceilidh band for our upcoming wedding. I've probably left it too late now but worth checking. Wedding is 14 Oct 2017 in dunkeld. We are looking for a band but not necessarily to play a full normal set. We'd like a good few songs that get people going then probably a dj for a bit with the band doing songs in between non ceilidh music. Or like 2 x 30 to 40 mins sets. Or a mix of the above really. Hi, We're getting married in Glasgow 5 mins from the city centre on the 4th March 2017. I was hoping to surprise my wife to be with a band to restart the party after the break in the evening for about 30 mins. With such a short set I was hoping for an acoustic set to maximise the surprise. She loves Mariachi bands, as well as the Mariachi covers of modern songs (like the Dorito adverts). Its a bit of a long shot at this late stage and this might not be possible at all. But was just looking for a quote, as you can imagine planning and paying for a wedding is costly! The venue is German themed, so a german band may work if mariachi isn't available, if they can do covers. Thanks

We would like to organise a ceilidh at the Cuan Mor brewery bar - http://www.cuanmor.co.uk/venue-function-room/ - on 21 February 2016. We will arrive at the bar at around 20hr30-21hr00 and would like music until around 23hr30.
The event is in door. The venue will be confirmed next week. Over 300 guests will be attending. Scottish National Party flagship event.
This band are fantastic! They played at the RAF Northolt Bierkeller and were brilliant. So flexible to our needs and put so much energy in to the night. Great music, dancing and games, thank you!

If you're looking for a band who will transform a tent full of people having quiet drinks into a raging fury of dance laughter merriment and general good times then BLAG are the act you're looking for. We booked them for a green and event to raise money to fight greenbelt destruction nearby and they instantly communicated with everybody In the room (which ranged from early 20s to late 50s and 60s) the minute they started playing. A great repertoire of traditional favourites and interesting covers especially the doors' "people are strange" They're compact yet sound huge- and the great calling instructions had everybody laughing and smiling no matter how awful they were at dancing the Gay Gordon!. Sometimes this kind of ceilidh can be slow and boring when everybody doesn't really know what to do but the band made it all happen very quickly and very enjoyably . Did I mention they're nice guys as well?
