Hyndburn Leisure is pleased to present Accrington Town Hall’s classic ballroom, now unveiled as a venue for wedding receptions, proms and events after a £750k restoration.

The ballroom is suitable for a host of occasions, from wedding receptions and school prom evenings to family parties, wakes, christenings, sportsmans dinners, dedications and live shows.


It has a capacity of 350, while 240 people can comfortably be accommodated for a sit-down meal.


Leading up to the ballroom is a grand staircase that lends itself to red carpet entrances and a memorable photography backdrop.


Dating back to 1858, the ballroom has undergone a respectful restoration to enhance its striking original features while bringing its facilities right up-to-date for modern events and functions.


The multifunctional ballroom space features a fully sprung dancefloor – the only other of its kind in the North West is at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. With striking acoustics and a cutting edge multi-coloured lighting scheme, the revamped ballroom is serviced by two new bars – one located behind the stage area and a mezzanine cocktail bar overlooking the main space.

Also at Maida like in India, we meticulously combine various spices and vegetables to bring forth vivid colours and unique flavours to our menu. Food is prepared afresh and not as a permutation of base sauces, a far cry from the generic curry houses of today's Britain.

Guildhall Complex

In October 2014, the ownership of Preston Guild Hall was transferred from Preston City Council to the Rigby Group of companies, under the directorship of local private entrepreneur Simon Rigby. It is an exciting new chapter in Preston’s entertainment scene and there are ambitious plans in place to elevate the complex back to its previous former glory.

In addition to the programming and event developments to re-establish the 716 seater Charter Theatre and 2034 seater Grand Hall, Simon and his team have already started to invest heavily in the wider complex. The arcade has seen several new popular additions such as Bonds coffee shop and the Review Wine and Cocktail bar.


Furthermore, the Grand Hall Foyer has undergone a major programme of refurbishment to create a brand new multifunctional space know as LiVe!, creating the perfect space for intimate gigs, pre- and post-show drinks and for dancing the night away!


The newest development is the purpose-built indoor/outdoor terrace area which has helped to modernise the original balcony area. This latest addition provides our guests with stunning views of the surrounding Grade 1 listed buildings and architecture, such as the Harris Museum, whilst they dine with us, and also boasts a retractable roof canopy for the summer months!

Hallé St Peter’s provides a home for the Hallé’s rehearsals and recordings, its choirs and Youth Orchestra, as well as a space for education workshops and small performances. Opened by the Hallé’s Patron, HRH The Countess of Wessex in 2013, it is a restored church in the Ancoats area of Manchester.
