Recent review: We hired the Stomping Boondocks for our wedding in June 2019, and they were absolutely fantastic. They were communicative and professional in advance, and bent over backwards for us. On the night they were brilliant, and guests absolutely loved them. Would highly recommend.
BLACK VELVET BAND - Ceilidh, Irish & Hoedown
Recent review: Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year - everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn't have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees - which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers.

Phil Preen - Dance Caller
Recent review: I booked Phil and the Brewery Band to play at my 50th birthday party in Gloucester 1st Feb 2020. There were so many different bands to choose from, but I know now I definitely picked the right band to entertain me and my guests. Communication between myself and Phil before my party was good and when I met Phil and the band on the night all members were friendly and had smiles. Dances where easy to follow with clear instruction from Phil, and the music was lively. Everyone enjoyed the night and the Brewery band made it extra special. A birthday that I will never forget. Thank you :-)
Spill The Whisky Ceilidh Band
Recent review: A fantastic band with so much patience! We ended up having a couple adjustments to the schedule we were going to follow, plus an unexpected delay to the actual start of the music playing, but Spill the Whiskey were really good at going with the flow. They managed to get almost all the guests off their chairs -- the only ones who didn't get up were those who couldn't, and made dancing fun for everyone involved. We had actual people who knew how to dance, people who had no clue, and people who shouldn't be allowed on a dancefloor (me) but somehow the band played songs that worked for all of us and the amount of fun we had just cannot be put into words. Also, they ended their set beautifully, giving us a chance to go round all our guests and exchange a few words and a hug, which meant the world to me. Fantastic band, I very much recommend them!

Recent review: "Very good. Only 4 musicians and a caller turned up but was fine. Could have done with some incidental music during dancers' rest breaks perhaps, but overall an excellent evening. The caller was particularly friendly and approachable and yet was still managing to get people to listen and dance, despite temperatures in the high 20s ! Thank you for your help."
