Chef Touch

I had good communication with Chef Silvestre before the event. One of our group was a pescatarian so happily cooked a different meal to the meat eaters. Professional and on time. Food was lovely and plates were clean! Recommend.

We booked Chef Silvestre for my sister’s hen party and he was brilliant! The food he cooked was delicious and he was very relaxed and flexible with us about timings. He was also accommodating of different food preferences across our large group. I would definitely recommend Chef Silvestre and book him again!

Chef Silvestre was very professional and cooked our group of 10 a three course meal with canapés while we were staying in a holiday cottage. Everything run smoothly, the food was lovely and we had a great evening. Would recommend the chef touch as good value for the service offered.

The Chef Touch (Silvestre) is nothing short from amazing! He provides multiple options for the allergic or picky eaters and ensures that everyone is happy! My bf and I hosted a birthday party for 10 and we were all impressed with the food and service. You can see Silvestre's confidence in the kitchen and in the food. Well versed and knowledgable about multiple culinary cuisine's. Communicates efficiently the moment you reserve his services! Don't be afraid to ask Silvestre for any recommendations, if we host another event we are definitely going to ask him to bring in the Portuguese cuisine that he know's so well!

"The party was a triumph! Chef Silvestre was so easy to work with - very calm, flexible, sociable and easy-going. He tailored the menu to the group's tastes and accommodated one diner's specific requests. The salmon first course in particular was exquisite. All other dishes were delicious and plentiful although we should mention that the steak in the main course was tough and gristly.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Silvestre and look forward to finding another opportunity to welcome him back to Forest Row to cook for us."

I had never before used a private chef or known anyone that had, I had the idea for my 30th birthday party as I have a newborn baby so it meant I didn't need to leave the house, and what an idea it was! Chef Silvestre made the experience, the food was divine and all the guests were impressed and left extremely full!! He really did make the evening, the cost was extremely reasonable for what we had and the quality of food was perfect. We enjoyed so much so we have already booked Chef in for next year!

Silvestre was fantastic right from first contact with menu ideas through to the final surprise anniversary lunch for my wife (and children). The food was top class and he was charming and fun throughout the day - the kids had a ball. As others have said, he is a consummate professional, even letting himself into my house while I pretended to the family we were going out for lunch then returning with them to a table of delicious canapes with first course already under way. Can't recommend him highly enough and will definitely be using again. Thank you, again, Silvestre.

We had a brilliant time! Silvestre was prompt, kind and an excellent cook! We had a great meal celebrating my sister’s hen do. There were 16 of us and everyone was catered for perfectly inc vegetarians. Thanks again, highly recommended.

"Our chef and his lovely server made our hen party really special.
The food was amazing quality even though they only had a small kitchen to work with.
Everything was freshly cooked in front of us and the flavours where incredible. All of the girls where really impressed.

"Having never hired a private chef before I was slightly nervous but I found myself in excellent hands from the start. Booking was easy and Chef Silvestre was very quick at replying to my questions and very flexible over the menu.

He arrived on time, was friendly and polite and cooked an excellent meal for us. He timed the meal around us and we didn't feel rushed at all. He left my kitchen cleaner that it was before he arrived !.

Chef Silvestre cooked for a party of 9 on my 50th birthday. It was a real success - we agreed the menu in advance and Silvestre delivered it perfectly. He is a friendly nice guy and worked so hard, including clearing everything away and doing the washing up. Fantastic - everyone loved the food and I thought it was great value too. Much more fun than a restaurant, so glad I did this. Thank you!

We booked Chef Silvester (and his assistant Lorraine) for my husbands 60th Birthday. What a wonderful evening we had, the food was amazing all prepared at the house, and served to us and left the kitchen spotless. Silvestre was highly efficient and responded positively with a menu to meet our needs. He arrived promptly and left the kitchen clean and tidy having washed up both his own equipment and any utensils etc. of ours that he had used. The food was delicious and plentiful. We received many quotes through Poptop and judged that he provided a varied menu at a realistic cost. We would have no hesitation in recommending Silvestre's services and using him again. He is a very convivial person with a charming personality and when serving interacted with our guests in a cordial yet respectful way.
